MCS needs your help with a raffle fundraiser to raise funds for new playground equipment. Why: To avoid investing the money required to safely maintain the current playground equipment and to provide the children with new, challenging equipment, the MCS Board has worked with Creative Playthings to design Phase 1 of a new playground for MCS. Additional (future) fundraising will allow us to add another phase to the new equipment providing even more interesting, challenging play for the children and the ability to accommodate 44 children at one time (enabling 2 classes to be on the playground together). A picture of Phase 1 is on the back of this letter. This equipment has the look and feel of wood without the worries of splintering, warping or hazardous chemicals. It is made of 60% recycled hardwood and 40% polypropylene plastic and comes with a 25 year service-free warranty. How: To help us raise the $15,000 required for Phase 1, Creative Playthings has donated a Residential Play Set for us to raffle. In addition, we procured a new, Dell Vostro 1500 personal laptop at a discount and will be offering that as a second raffle item. We hope that these two raffle items will prove appealing to friends, family, neighbors, colleagues, and anyone else that you can think of!! Please see the pictures and descriptions of the residential play set and laptop on the attached pages. Remember, our fundraisers this year have not included selling wrapping paper or standard fundraising sales so we are counting on you to be creative in your raffle ticket sales. When: The winning raffle tickets will be drawn on April 26, 2008 at the MCS Promoter of Peace Awards Dinner. We will be collecting sold ticket stubs and cash/checks from now until April 25, 2008. We strongly encourage you to return your sold tickets as soon as possible so that we can track our progress!!
